Located on the left side of the Eixample neighbourhood in Barcelona, near Plaça Francesc Macià, with two entrances, one on 467 Avinguda Diagonal and the other on 49 Carrer Buenos Aires, the Teatre Akadèmia is home to a renovated, fully equipped theatre space of 350m2, with a maximum capacity of 90 spectators.
Access to Teatre Akadèmia is through Carrer Buenos Aires 47, on a 400-metres squared square, where the box office is located. It is a flat, open outside space with electricity and connections for a sound and light board.
The Poblenou workshop is a complementary infrastructure to the Teatre Akadèmia performance space that hosts rehearsals for the theatre’s own productions and for resident companies. It is also a space for courses for professionals, international courses, permanent laboratories and work-in-progress sessions for young companies.
